What to Bring

List of Clothing Items Allowed

Place all items in a plastic bag.  Suitcases are not allowed.

All items on this list must be machine washable and dryable

  • Coat or Hoodie-Limit 1
  • Jacket or Hoodie-Limit 1
  • Underwear-Limit 8
  • Girls: One Piece Swim Suit-Limit 1
  • Boys:  Swim Trunks-Limit 1
  • 1 Shirt (the one they wear in) NO WHITE T’s, no bands, must be appropriate
  • Socks-Limit 8
  • Gloves-Limit 1
  • Scarves-Limit 1
  • Pants/Shorts-Limit 8 (No Leggings or spandex pants; Shorts must be “fingertip” length or longer)
  • Girls: Bras (no underwire)-Limit 8

All items on the following list will be heat treated to 150 Degrees

  • Shoes-Limit 2 (No steel toe shoes)
  • Flip Flops-Limit 2
  • House Slippers

No baseball caps are allowed.  However, you are allowed to have a washable toboggan.

  • Youth  will be issued clothing by Bassett House upon intake.  This will consist of sweatshirt, t-shirts and sweat pants.
  • Consumer’s clothing will be used on outings.  Please make sure that it is appropriate.  If it is not appropriate, you will not be allowed to use it and will use our uniforms for outings.
  • No white shirts allowed.
  • Consumers are allowed to bring a tweezers and nail clippers (these items must be new, unused and in the original packaging.)

*Bassett House is not responsible for damage that may occur during washing, drying or the heating process.  If you are concerned about your items being damaged, please use your discretion as to what you bring.

*Bassett will not be responsible for clothing or items that are lost or traded.

*We do not allow youths to have money during their stay at Bassett House.
